Our approach

Recruiting across electrical project delivery

Electrical construction can connect distribution, equipment, controls, lighting, and other project scopes with the wider build. We learn how the contractor divides design coordination, procurement, installation, and turnover responsibilities before starting a search.

Our approach

Electrical roles at the right level

We recruit electrical Project Managers, estimators, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, foremen, and preconstruction leaders. A candidate's commercial, industrial, or infrastructure background is considered against the opening rather than treated as a universal substitute.

Our approach

Screen for coordination and field ownership

We ask about the electrical work candidates have overseen, how they coordinated with other trades, and what they owned from planning through closeout. The questions help clarify whether a person is suited to an office-led project role, field supervision, estimating, or a combination.

Our approach

Strong local and traveling candidate reach

We work with local electrical construction candidates in the markets we serve, including local candidates willing to travel 100%. Nationwide candidates willing to travel 100% are part of the search for full-time travel roles, with travel expectations discussed directly.

Good questions

Frequently asked questions.

Which electrical construction companies do you support?

We recruit for electrical contractors and construction teams delivering commercial, industrial, and infrastructure work. The hiring brief helps us understand where the role sits in the project organization.

Which electrical positions are included in your searches?

We recruit Project Managers, estimators, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, foremen, and preconstruction leaders. We tailor outreach to the seniority and ownership expected in the specific position.

How do you compare electrical candidates to the scope?

We ask candidates to describe their electrical project history, coordination responsibilities, and role during installation and closeout. We use that context to assess whether their background aligns with the contractor's work.

Can electrical candidates take 100% travel roles?

Yes. The search can include local candidates willing to travel 100% and nationwide candidates willing to travel 100%. We review the assignment's travel requirements before sharing a profile.

Should an electrical search focus on field or office experience?

That depends on the position, so we clarify the balance of estimating, coordination, project management, and field oversight at intake. A precise brief helps us separate candidates whose titles are similar but whose day-to-day work differs.

Is there an upfront fee for an electrical search?

No upfront professional fee is due for a standard contingency search. The signed recruiting agreement sets the terms for a qualifying placement.

Relocation and travel

Relocation Placements

Over the last few years we've filled more and more positions with candidates willing to relocate on their own, or with minimal initial relocation help from the client. We always fill with local candidates when possible. But relocation placements are a specialty of ours, and we know how to make them work for clients who are committed to filling the position.

Placement protection

12-month replacement guarantee

On standard (non-reduced) fee agreements, every placement comes with a 3-month free candidate replacement guarantee. From months 4 to 12, we'll still replace the candidate at half off. That's a full year of coverage. We've never needed to use the extended guarantee.

Extended coverage applies to eligible placements billed and paid at the full standard fee under the signed client recruiting agreement.

Three-Month Free Replacement

If a placement billed and paid at the full standard fee separates for a qualifying reason within the first three months, Construction Headhunters will conduct one replacement search for the same or substantially similar position at no additional professional recruiting fee.

Months Four Through Twelve: Half-Fee Replacement

If the hire separates during months four through twelve, the client receives one replacement at half the standard professional fee. Applies only to original placements billed and paid at the full standard fee.

Eligibility, exclusions, notification requirements, payment requirements, and replacement terms are governed by the signed client recruiting agreement.
