Our approach

Recruiting on the supplier side

Safety suppliers support customers with equipment, products, service, and purchasing coordination. We learn whether the opening leads a branch, manages customer relationships, oversees operations, or supports fleet, inventory, and delivery activity.

Our approach

Roles tied to customer and branch needs

Searches can include business development leaders, branch and operations managers, sales managers, account leaders, and equipment or service managers. We shape the role around the employer's customer base and the responsibilities it needs the new hire to own.

Our approach

Evaluate construction-customer familiarity

We ask how candidates have served contractors, handled product or equipment needs, coordinated quotes and deliveries, and worked with field or procurement contacts. The exact mix of sales, operations, and customer support matters more than a generic construction title.

Our approach

Local market relationships and travel reach

We work with a strong candidate network across the markets we cover, including local professionals willing to travel 100%. Nationwide candidates willing to travel 100% can be considered for supplier roles with broader territory or full-time travel needs.

Good questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do you recruit safety managers for jobsites on this page?

This page focuses on companies that supply safety equipment and products to construction customers. Project-side Safety Manager and Director searches belong to the construction roles taxonomy.

Which safety supply positions can you recruit?

We can search for branch, business development, sales, account, operations, equipment, and customer service leaders. The employer's structure determines which functions belong in the brief.

How do you evaluate a candidate for a safety supplier?

We ask about customer relationships, product or equipment coordination, branch or territory ownership, and how the candidate supports contractor needs. We compare those responsibilities with the supplier's actual operating model.

Can supplier candidates travel across a territory?

Yes. We can consider local candidates willing to travel 100% and nationwide candidates willing to travel 100%. We clarify the territory and travel expectations before making introductions.

What information should a distributor include in a search brief?

Describe the customer base, products or equipment involved, territory, reporting structure, and whether the role is sales, branch operations, or service focused. That context helps us avoid confusing supplier work with project-side construction roles.

How does the recruiting fee work for a safety supplier?

A standard contingency search has no upfront professional recruiting fee. Placement terms are defined by the signed recruiting agreement.

Relocation and travel

Relocation Placements

Over the last few years we've filled more and more positions with candidates willing to relocate on their own, or with minimal initial relocation help from the client. We always fill with local candidates when possible. But relocation placements are a specialty of ours, and we know how to make them work for clients who are committed to filling the position.

Placement protection

12-month replacement guarantee

On standard (non-reduced) fee agreements, every placement comes with a 3-month free candidate replacement guarantee. From months 4 to 12, we'll still replace the candidate at half off. That's a full year of coverage. We've never needed to use the extended guarantee.

Extended coverage applies to eligible placements billed and paid at the full standard fee under the signed client recruiting agreement.

Three-Month Free Replacement

If a placement billed and paid at the full standard fee separates for a qualifying reason within the first three months, Construction Headhunters will conduct one replacement search for the same or substantially similar position at no additional professional recruiting fee.

Months Four Through Twelve: Half-Fee Replacement

If the hire separates during months four through twelve, the client receives one replacement at half the standard professional fee. Applies only to original placements billed and paid at the full standard fee.

Eligibility, exclusions, notification requirements, payment requirements, and replacement terms are governed by the signed client recruiting agreement.
