Our approach

Concrete work across different project settings

Concrete scopes can differ between foundations, slabs, elevated work, site structures, and other project elements. We ask about the contractor's work mix, schedule interfaces, crew structure, and how the new hire will coordinate with the general contractor.

Our approach

Trade-specific project, estimating, and field roles

Our searches include concrete Project Managers, estimators, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and foremen. We separate office-side planning from field supervision so candidates are assessed for the work they will actually own.

Our approach

Candidate evaluation grounded in concrete delivery

We discuss how candidates have planned placement sequences, coordinated labor and material needs, tracked production, and managed changing site conditions. The search can prioritize the specific kind of concrete project experience relevant to the employer.

Our approach

Local coverage with a full-travel network

We maintain a strong construction candidate network across our markets, including local concrete professionals willing to travel 100%. Nationwide candidates willing to travel 100% can be considered for projects that need a full-time traveling hire.

Good questions

Frequently asked questions.

Which concrete contractors do you recruit for?

We recruit for specialty concrete contractors and project teams that need leaders for building, industrial, and infrastructure work. We clarify the employer's scope and position before starting outreach.

What concrete construction roles can you fill?

Searches include Project Managers, estimators, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and foremen. We can also shape a search around general field leadership or preconstruction responsibilities.

How do you screen candidates for concrete work?

We ask about the concrete scopes they have managed, the project setting, and their responsibility for field or office delivery. This helps distinguish the experience needed for the employer's work.

Can a concrete search include full-time travelers?

Yes. We can reach local candidates willing to travel 100% and nationwide candidates willing to travel 100%. The location and travel expectations are discussed before candidate introductions.

What details should I share about a concrete opening?

Useful details include the project type, concrete scope, team structure, schedule interfaces, and whether the role is field based or office based. We use the brief to focus on candidates with relevant responsibilities.

Do concrete recruiting searches require an upfront fee?

A standard contingency search does not require an upfront professional recruiting fee. The signed agreement governs the fee terms for a qualifying placement.

Relocation and travel

Relocation Placements

Over the last few years we've filled more and more positions with candidates willing to relocate on their own, or with minimal initial relocation help from the client. We always fill with local candidates when possible. But relocation placements are a specialty of ours, and we know how to make them work for clients who are committed to filling the position.

Placement protection

12-month replacement guarantee

On standard (non-reduced) fee agreements, every placement comes with a 3-month free candidate replacement guarantee. From months 4 to 12, we'll still replace the candidate at half off. That's a full year of coverage. We've never needed to use the extended guarantee.

Extended coverage applies to eligible placements billed and paid at the full standard fee under the signed client recruiting agreement.

Three-Month Free Replacement

If a placement billed and paid at the full standard fee separates for a qualifying reason within the first three months, Construction Headhunters will conduct one replacement search for the same or substantially similar position at no additional professional recruiting fee.

Months Four Through Twelve: Half-Fee Replacement

If the hire separates during months four through twelve, the client receives one replacement at half the standard professional fee. Applies only to original placements billed and paid at the full standard fee.

Eligibility, exclusions, notification requirements, payment requirements, and replacement terms are governed by the signed client recruiting agreement.
